Library

libray wide shotResources
Mrs. Kathy Woodson, is the Adams Library clerk. The Library is open from 7:15am to 4:00pm. There are over 35, 000 books to meet all levels of interest, and 32 student computers. Textbooks are also checked out through the library. Students may come into the library and work on homework, finish projects, receive tutoring, or just take advantage of a quiet place to read. Throughout the day, classes may schedule time in the library to use the computers or books. At lunch time, students may come in to work, read, or engage friends in a suspenseful game of chess or cards.

Outreach Liaisons
The outreach liaisons are Mrs. Koussine, Ms Neal, and Mr. Rodriguez. The liaisons are available in the morning to assist students in many different ways.

Knitting and Crochet Club
The Knitting and Crochet Club meets every other Monday at 2:30 in the Library Project Room. Students learn to knit or crochet and show others how. Limited supplies are available for purchase, for those who can't bring their own. This club is for beginners and experienced alike. See Mrs. Woodson for details.

Student Store
The Student Store is also in the library. It carries many types of supplies for students and is run primarily by volunteer students.

Book Fair
Several times a year the library “transforms” into a bookstore with the Scholastic Book Fair. The book fair offers an opportunity for students who sign up, to help to run the book fair while earning credit to buy books. The proceeds from the book fairs go first to students who helped, and then to enrich the teachers' classrooms and the library.
