I entered education in 1999 after completing my Bachelor of Science Degree from San Jose State University. While teaching at Crenshaw High School, I made the conscious decision to pursue my Single Subject Special Education Credential and my Masters of Science Degree. With a sparked interest in administration, I continued my education earning my Professional Clear Teaching and Administrative Services Credential. I continued my journey in education and transitioned from the role of teacher to that of Dean of Student Discipline.

Currently, as I serve in the capacity of Assistant Principal here at Adams Middle School, I reflect on the following question: “How am I ensuring that each student is provided with a quality education in a safe and secure environment where instructional services and programs meet students’ individual needs?” This question serves as the vehicle for which I am committed to ensuring that each student grows socially, emotionally, intellectually, and will ultimately transition into creative and successful adults.

During my brief time as part of the Adams Middle School family, I have observed and am impressed with the union and synergy of brilliant and exceptional students, an enthusiastic faculty, and caring and supportive parents who have worked to create a unique community of learners. Adams Middle School is a place where excellence is anticipated and accomplished. With the active participation of all stakeholders, we will have an exciting, productive, and challenging school year as we move from good to great.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (310) 798-8636 or by email at esimon@rbusd.org.
