First Day Of School

All students begin school on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 8:15 am. We will be on a regular day schedule.

Class Assignments

Class rosters listing the student assignments for the 2008-2009 school year will be posted on the front office window on Wednesday, September 3rd at 4:00 pm. They will remain on display through the first week of school.

New Parent/ Student Orientation

The annual PTA orientation for new student/ parents will be held on Thursday, August 28th
, at 9:00 AM in the school cafeteria. Meet the Principal, Mr. Taranto. Refreshments will be served.

School Schedule Changes

The Alta Vista School daily schedule for students will remain the same for grades 1 through 5th , please note change to K -PM.

AM Kindergarten - 8:15-11:35am
PM Kindergarten - 11:40 - 3:00 pm

Wednesdays ONLY PM Kindergarten 8:15-11:35am

Regular Day Schedules Grades 1-5

1st & 2nd grade 8:15 - 2:25 pm
3rd thru 5Th grade 8:15 - 2:30 pm

Minimum Day Schedules Grades 1-5

1st and 2nd grade 1:15 pm
3rd thru 5th grade 1 :30 pm

Reminder - we will continue to follow a minimum day schedule on all Wednesday's for grades 1 through 5.
