Character Counts
There are six pillars of character which are used to promote a positive learning environment at Birney. Our goal is to instill these ethics into our students to guide them throughout their lives. The pillars are:
- Caring
- Trustworthiness
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Citizenship
- Fairness
Our students are reminded of the six pillars through our Character Counts Pledge:
As a Birney Bobcat,
I pledge to be a kid of character.
I will be worthy of trust.
I will be respectful and responsible,
Doing what I must.
I will always act with fairness.
I will show that I care.
I will be a good citizen.
And I will always do my share.
