I am married and have two sons (17 and 19). My family has lived in Redondo Beach for the past 14 years, but I was born and raised on the east coast. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College in New York, and then earned my teaching credential and Master's Degree from Chapman University here in California.
This is my first year teaching at Birney, but I have worked for RBUSD for the past 12 years. I have taught 1st, Multi-age (1st/2nd), and now 3rd grade. I am a huge supporter of the PTA, and before coming to Birney I spent 8 years on the Executive Board of the Madison PTA (2 as President) and 2 years on the board of the South Bay Council PTA.
I am currently in Room 7,and my door is always open. When you are on the Birney campus - stop in to say hello.
