Catch the Wave — Join Jefferson PTA!

Welcome to Jefferson’s 2005–2006 school year! Educating children is a very important job and the Jefferson PTA needs your help. Our goal this year is 100% participation, so we need everyone to join PTA: families, teachers, relatives, neighbors, community leaders and businesses. Please fill out your membership form (below, and included in your back-to-school packet) today and return it to your child’s class. Classes achieving 100% membership will be rewarded with a party!

Membership funds, in addition to others, make the PTA’s many endeavors possible. Some PTA-sponsored enrichment programs include:

Ÿ         Hands On Art — supplemental cultural arts curriculum, which involves students in a variety of art experiences

Ÿ         Technology enhancements — computers, printers, software, etc.

Ÿ         Red Ribbon Week — a drug awareness, education and prevention program

Ÿ         Assemblies — monthly programs such as music, performance arts and theater arts

Ÿ         Kindergarten Picnic — a fun way to welcome our new kindergarten students and their parents

Ÿ         Classroom grants — monetary contributions for supplemental classroom materials

Ÿ         Two annual field trips per classroom

A portion of your membership dues supports state and national efforts, such as class size reduction legislation. Every membership counts!

A tax-deductible monetary contribution is an easy way to help Jefferson PTA reach our goals. Check if your employer provides matching funds to double your donation at no extra cost to you.
