Make a Difference in Your Child's Education!

The Jefferson PTA is excited to welcome you to our 2006-2007 school year. We need your help more than ever this year! With tight district budgets, we need to do what we can to support our children’s educational experiences. 

Our goal is 100% participation, so we need everyone to join: families, teachers, relatives, neighbors, community leaders and businesses. Classrooms achieving 100 percent membership will be rewarded with a party!

By becoming a member of the Jefferson PTA, you will make a difference!  Your contribution will help to make the PTA’s endeavors possible.  It will also demonstrate your support and interest in our school, staff and students. Here are some of the enrichment programs your membership funds help support:

 

Ø      Two annual field trips per classroom (K-5)

Ø       6th Grade Science Camp (subsidized)

Ø      Hands on Art Program (link to Michelle Solley) - Supplemental cultural arts curriculum

Ø      Technology enhancements (link to Linda Goldman) - In both the classrooms and Cybrary

Ø      Red Ribbon Week (link to Diane) - A drug awareness, education and prevention program.

Ø      Educational & Cultural Assemblies for all students (link to Mary) - Programs such as music, science, performance arts and theater arts.

Ø      Kindergarten Picnic (link to reps) - A fun way to welcome our new kindergarten students and their parents.

Ø      Classroom grants (link to Debbie) - Teachers are able to purchase supplemental classroom materials.

Ø      Annual Talent Show

Ø      Teacher Appreciation Week (link to Hospitality)

Ø      Read-A-Thon (link to Kara)

Ø      And many more…

Just think…without your support – the above

noted programs may not be possible.

A portion of your membership dues also support state and national efforts, such as class size reduction legislation.

And don’t forget to include your Employer Matching Gifts form to double your tax-deductible donation at no extra cost to you.
