consistent discipline plan assists children in learning decision-making
skills. Learning to make appropriate choices regarding personal behavior
helps children to become independent and responsible citizens. All students
must follow the students pledge outlined
in the Learning Contract.

snacks and lunches only in Dolphin Bay or the Dining Hall (Food or
drinks are not permitted on the playground at any time.)
Playground
Rules
Students:

demonstrate
courtesy and respectful behavior toward adults and other students

use
equipment safely and properly and only when supervised by an adult

play
in assigned areas with appropriate equipment

use
only school and not personal equipment
-
play
on the flat surfaces rather than the grass hills (Children are not
allowed on the "hill".)

obtain
permission to leave the playground for any reason

allow
others to play in games and share equipment

stop
playing when the "freeze" bell is rung

walk
quietly and immediately to class lines following the supervisor direction
after the "freeze" bell
Apparatus
Rules
Students:

use
all apparatus according to the instructions taught by teachers and
playground supervisors

apparatus at times designated for grade levels

apparatus only when it is completely dry
Bicycle
Rules
Students:

may
ride bicycles to Jefferson

walk
bicycles while on campus

park
and lock bikes in the bike rack
*Skateboards
and rollerblades are not allowed.
