Thursday Packets

Every Thursday, your child will take home a packet of information for you to review.  This packet may include such things as notices from the school and/or district, flyers for upcoming school events and fundraisers and ads for local clubs and activities.  Please review this information and return any necessary forms the next day, Friday.

How To Put A Notice In A Thursday Packet

Notices for Thursday packets must be delivered to the School Office by 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning to ensure their inclusion in that day's packet. Please bring a minimum of 450 copies.  Please contact the School Office at 310-798-8623 to ask about including your notice in our Thursday packet.

Madison PTA Notices

All notices advertising PTA events and fund-raisers, requesting volunteers, etc., must be clearly marked with the words "Madison PTA" and MUST be approved by Madison Principal David Hoffman (email: dhoffman@rbusd.org) AND Madison PTA President Angela Puckett (email: mamapuckett@verizon.net) before distribution.

If your flyer includes a return slip, please clearly mark on that slip the name of the person to whom the form should be returned.

External Sources

Flyers from external sources must be approved by the Student Services Office at RBUSD.  A sample of the flyer should be delivered to the Student Services Office or faxed to 310-798-8659, along with the name and phone number of the contact person for the flyer.  The Student Services office will notify that person regarding approval or denial of the flyer.   All flyers MUST contain the following statement:

This activity is not school sponsored and any involvement in this activity is at the discretion of the parent and student.  This flyer is not printed at District expense.

Thursday Packets are assembled by PTA volunteers - your help would be greatly appreciated!  If you can spare an hour or so (often less) from about 8:30 a.m. on a Thursday morning to help us assemble the packets, please contact the Thursday Packet Chair, Sybilla Turner, at unicorn61@roadrunner.com.
