Madison Elementary School was founded in 1956 and opened in the fall of that year. We celebrated our 50th birthday in 2006! The enrollment for 2007-2008 is approximately 400 students in grades K-5. Performance and Testing ResultsThe Academic Performance Index (API) is used by the State of California to measure the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures. Madison Elementary School's API score for 2006 was 885 (up from 876 in 2005). Click here to view the school's performance reports dating back to 1999. Students in grades 2-5 participate in the State of California's Standardized Reporting and Testing (STAR) every Spring, testing in English-Language Arts, Mathematics and, for grade 5 only, Science.
