Office Hours

The school office is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., except for holidays and non-student days.  Please check the Calendar page for details of school closures.

Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

IMPORTANT -  For your child's safety, please do NOT stop or park on the school side (south side) of Ruhland Ave. when dropping off or picking up your child.  There is no stopping or parking on this side of the street!  Parking around the Madison campus is extremely limited - please show courtesy to the local residents by not double-parking or parking across driveways.  Redondo Beach PD monitors regularly for illegal parking activity.

Also, please remember that between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., the Madison staff parking lot is for staff members only!  Also, please do not park in the handicapped stall at any time if you do not have a handicapped placard in your vehicle.  Your cooperation is grealy appreciated.

In the event of bad weather, please deliver or collect your child to or from their classroom.

Students who arrive after 8:15 a.m. should report to the school office and fill out a tardy note.

Early Dismissal Days

All classes except A.M. Kindergarten operate on a modified schedule on early dismissal (minimum) days.  Every Wednesday is an early dismissal day but throughout the year, other days may be designated as such in the event of parent conferences, teacher professional development or significant school events.  On these days, "Wednesday hours" will apply so please remember to pick up your child early from school!

Kindergarten

Please drop off and pick up students at the kindergarten entrance on Ruhland Ave.  On arrival, students line up on the kindergarten playground with their teachers.  At the end of school, students will only be released to a responsible parent or guardian.

A.M. Kindergarten - please do not arrive earlier than 7:55 a.m. - there is no playground supervision before this time.

Grades 1-5

Please drop off and pick up students at the main playground entrances on Ruhland Ave. and Nelson Ave or through the school front entrance on MacKay Lane.  On arrival, students line up on the main playground behind their room numbers to wait for their teachers.

Please do not arrive earlier than 8:00 a.m. - there is no playground supervision before this time.

School starts promptly at 8:15 a.m.  A warning bell will sound at 8:13 a.m. to call students to line up.
