Dear Washington Explorer Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about my appointment as the new interim principal at Washington Elementary School. Washington has a reputation of excellence and I feel fortunate to be joining a school culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, innovation and collaboration. The staff here at Washington School believes that every child can and will learn. Washington has many great programs such as Character Counts, Hosts, Live Well Kids, and Developmental Kindergarten. It is my intent to continue to support the many excellent programs and practices already in place at Washington School. Come visit the playground on Friday mornings and see our award winning students.

I have had the pleasure of working in the Redondo Beach School District for 18 years starting as a teacher at Beryl Heights Elementary School. During my career I have worked at Washington before as a Program Coordinator and most recently been the Director of the Child Development program.
